What else should you know about JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC?
After 24 hours, you should be able to resume your normal activities. Side effects are moderate and generally last 2 to 4 weeks. Common side effects include temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, pain, redness, discoloration, and itching.
What is Juvéderm Voluma?

How long should I wait to add more Voluma?
You need to wait at least 1 week so that the swelling will go down from the previous injections.
How long does Voluma last?
It can last anywhere from 1 to 2 years. Everyone is different so for some it may last a shorter time.
How is it used?
Voluma is injected with a multiple injection technique of precise amounts of filler deep into the skin.
Is Voluma painful?
Most people find the injections tolerable. A numbing cream can be placed on the skin for 15 to 20 minutes before the procedure to make it more comfortable.
What happens after the injections of Voluma?
You may have bruising, swelling or redness. In most cases these can easily be covered with makeup. Sometimes the swelling requires medication to be taken by mouth for a few days.
What time of medicine would be needed for swelling from Voluma?
Either an antihistamine or prednisone, an anti-inflammatory.
What are possible reactions to Voluma?
There may be firmness at the injection site. You won’t see this but you may feel it when you touch your face or apply your makeup. Please be patient. This will resolve in a week or two.
What can I do if I don’t like the Voluma injections?
It’s important to wait for the swelling to go down. If you still don’t like the injections they can be dissolved with another injection. This is an injection of Vitrase or hyaluronidase which is an enzyme which breaks down the hyaluronic acid. Voluma is made of hyaluronic acid.
Can I have Voluma if I have a cold sore?
You will need to be treated with Valtrex before the injections so that you do not have an active infection.
When is the best time to have Voluma before a big event?
It’s best to have it 1-2 weeks before a big event. So incase you have swelling or bruising it will have resolved.
Will I be pleased with my Voluma?
