We are so focused on our face that many of us forget about our telltale aging hands. When hands lose collagen over the years, the result is loose skin, protruding veins and discoloration.
Many of the treatments we perform to improve signs of aging on the face can be applied to the hands as well. Laser treatments such as the Medlite C can effectively remove age spots and discoloration, while fillers such as Juvederm or Radiesse can immediately plump hands to their once youthful state. Products that increase cell turnover and collagen production such growth factors and skin boosters can also be especially useful in maintaining hands’ appearance. Moisturize your hands daily to maintain hydration levels and apply a broad-spectrum sun block when going outside.
