Rashes
Board Certified
Dermatologist, Debra Jaliman, MD is one of Manhattan, New York's leading
authorities on rashes. What is a rash? Rashes are your body's way of
telling you it really doesn't like something. The most common rashes are a
result from adverse reactions to medications, ingredients in a lotion or
shampoo, metals, or even food.
Unfortunately, some rashes will only go away if treated by your
dermatologist. These type of rashes include severe forms of common rashes
such as acne, atopic dermatitis, and rosacea.
Some rashes are chronic, or long-term, requiring regular check-ups to keep
them under control. You should consider seeing Board Certified
Dermatologist, Debra Jaliman if your regular regimen is not working and your
rash simply is not going away.
Also, if a rash really bothers you, you should see your dermatologist. It
doesn't matter if it's a common skin problem, or other people aren't
concerned about it. You're the one who has to live with your skin, so if you
want to talk to a dermatologist, feel free to contact Doctor Jaliman for a
complimentary consultation.
Please note, the longer you've had a rash, the more likely you need to see a
dermatologist if you're concerned about it.
Most of the time a rash that has been only present for a few days will go
away on its own. Warning signs that you should visit your dermatologist
sooner rather than later are pain, rapid swelling causing shortness of
breath, bleeding blisters in the mouth or eyes, skin that is rapidly turning
dusky or black, and large amounts of peeling skin.
Feel free to make a consultation with Board Certified Dermatologist, Debra
Jaliman, MD at her Manhattan, New York office for treatment of your rash. |
