Perlane®
Board Certified Dermatologist, Debra Jaliman, MD offers a full range of
services designed to smooth away wrinkles, erase acne scars, and enhance the
lips, including Restylane®
and Radiesse™
injections, and now Perlane®. The dermatologist performs these
procedure in her Manhattan, New York fully accredited dermatology

As of May 4, 2007, the FDA has approved a new wrinkle filler called Perlane
for the treatment of moderate to severe facial folds, acne scars, and
wrinkles.
Perlane's larger gel particles can reach the deep layers of the skin,
offering enhanced volume and lifting power. Perlane® is an injectable
cosmetic dermal filler that can be used to used to soften wrinkles and
facial folds. It is also a very effective filler for lip augmentation,
facial depressions, and facial scarring (including acne scarring).
Perlane has been used safely by dermatologists and plastic surgeons since
2000 outside the United States. The NYC dermatologist is one of the first
Manhattan, New York dermatologist to offer Perlane®.
Common uses for Perlane® filler
include:
> Wrinkle correction
> Diminishing worry lines, smile lines, crow’s feet, marionette lines at
corners of the mouth, and smoker’s lines
> Lip enhancement
> Reducing the severity of nasolabial folds
> Chin augmentation
> Filling cheek depressions
> Redefining lip border
> Filling acne scars
Other, less common, uses for Perlane® filler include:
> Filling hollows under the eyes
> Creating a temporary eyebrow lift
> Correcting facial depressions caused by fat loss
> Softening the appearance of jowls
Perlane's effectiveness can last for over a year. The results are immediate
and the procedure requires no "down-time". Perlane® can be used in
conjunction with BOTOX® Cosmetic,
which neutralizes the muscles that create wrinkles, but Perlane® simply
reduces the visibility of wrinkles and folds.
