Unlike regular Juvéderm, Juvéderm XC contains lidocaine, a local anesthesia that provides a more comfortable treatment.
Juvéderm XC is injected into areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur. It temporarily adds volume to the skin and restores a smoother yet natural appearance to the face.
Juvéderm and Juvéderm XC are fillers made from hyaluronic acid, a substance that is found in human skin. With Juvéderm XC there is minimal recovery or down time, and patients see an immediate improvement.
Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing or lip plumping, and the results last up to 6 months or more. However, results may vary and correction is temporary. Supplemental "touch up" treatments may be required to achieve and maintain optimal results.

It depends on the location in the face that the Juvéderm is injected into. So for example, if Juvéderm is injected into the smile lines and you smile a lot you will break down the Juvéderm faster. Please note that everybody is different so the amount of time it lasts does vary from person to person.
