Anti-Aging Treatments
Both traditional medicines and newly discovered anti-aging
treatments are employed here, with careful consideration of the needs and
philosophies of each particular patient to produce a visibly younger
complexion.
Antioxidant Peel
This is the latest addition to our
in-office peels. The anti-oxidant peel contains Vitamin C and E, Green Tea
extract, and Beta glucan, which are all beneficial to the skin. The
anti-oxidant component of this peel protects the skin from environmental
damage from UV rays and free radicals. It works against the damage caused by
the sun, pollution and cigarette smoke.
The Anti-Oxidant Peel:
· Enhances collagen production
· Improves skin texture
· Smooths fine lines
· Evens out darkened areas of the skin
· Reduces skin inflammation
BOTOX®
BOTOX® treatments are a simple, safe, and
effective way to improve facial expression lines (frown lines between the
eyebrows, crow's feet at the outside corner of the eyes, forehead wrinkles),
and muscle bands in the front of the neck. Many of these problems are
hereditary and are all signs of aging.
Collagen Treatments
Soft-tissue fillers, most commonly
injectable collagen or fat, can help fill in these lines and creases,
temporarily restoring a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. When
injected beneath the skin, collagen plumps up creased and sunken areas of
the face. Collagen can also add fullness to the lips and cheeks.
Cool Glide Laser
Cool Glide Laser is used for
the treatment of:
- Facial Blood Vessels
- Broken Leg Vessels
- Spider Veins
- Cherry Angiomas
- Laser Hair Removal
Cool Touch
II Laser
The Cool Touch II Laser works by using a precise pulse
of laser energy in conjunction with a cooling spray to enhance skin texture,
minimize fine lines, improve skin imperfections and soften scars, This
unique cooling system protects the outer layer of you skin. The laser
stimulates cells called fibroblasts to produce natural collagen that is the
foundation of the skin,
CosmoDerm
and
CosmoPlast
Instantly smooth away lines,
wrinkles, and scars (even acne scars) with just one quick visit to Board
Certified Dermatologist, Debra Jaliman, MD's Manhattan office. Recovery time
from CosmoDerm or CosmoPlast is short so you can easily sneak in a treatment
during your lunch hour.
As one of the only FDA - approved commercially available derma facial filler
made from human collagen, CosmoDerm and CosmoPlast offer some very important
advantages including:
* Immediate treatment – no pre-treatment skin test required!
* Immediate Results
* Formulated with an anesthetic for comfort
* Treatment and recovery usually take less than one hour
* Treatment results last up to six months
Facial Fillers
By far the most common site for facial filler
augmentation is the lips; second would be the cheeks. Since more fat in the
face provides a younger appearance, we often fill any line, wrinkle, groove,
or hollow appearing spot on the face including acne scars, scars, nasal
labial folds, and chicken pock scars.
There are a wide variety of injectable facial fillers on the market today.
Out of any product category, injectable facial filler types are the most
abundant. From bovine collagen to Restylane, to even semi-permanent
injectable micro implants such as CosmoDerm. Injectable facial fillers are
quick, effective and an inexpensive solution.
Injectable facial fillers are generally considered soft tissue augmentation
materials. There are many categories which include temporary absorbable
methods and permanent facial fillers.
Laser Hair Removal Board Certified
Dermatologist, Debra Jaliman, MD uses the Cool Glide Laser or the Lyra Laser
for laser hair removal. These are the only laser hair removal system that

without discoloring the pigment, without destroying the pigment.

to remove unwanted hair. The Lyra Laser utilizes the longest available
wavelength and an Extended Duration Pulse that provides optimal results with
the least amount of patient discomfort and shortest recuperation time. It is
a revolutionary treatment that is FDA approved for all skin type offering
the unique ability to treat tanned and darker pigmented skin.

most effective laser for patients with tanned skin and for patients with

Medlite "C" Laser
The Medlite Laser procedure offers patients
the safest and least invasive way to effectively minimize the appearance of
wrinkles and scars in any skin type.
Pigmented Lesion Removal with the Medlite™ Series of Medical Laser Systems
The Medlite lasers are commonly used for the removal of epidermal pigmented
lesions such as brown age spots, "liver spots", freckles and many brown
birthmarks. Usually, only 1 treatment is required for the majority of these
lesions. Although more treatments are required, the laser can also greatly
improve and often remove difficult dermal pigmented lesions such as Nevus of
Ota and Mongolian Spots.
Polish Peel
The Polish Peel uses a controlled spray of
very fine, pure crystals, which gently polish the skin, as well as stimulate
collagen production. Unlike other peel machines (such as Microdermabrasion),
the Polish Peel is a gentle, non-aggressive suctioning machine, which will
not affect the capillaries of the face. After the Polish Peel, an anti-aging
cream will be applied that will deeply penetrate for increased
effectiveness. Although peeling may not be visible, the peel is highly
effective. The Polish Peel is a safe, non-surgical procedure that is
effective for all skin types and doesn’t require a recuperation period.
Restylane
Restylan produces instant and long-lasting wrinkle correction.
Restylane is the first and only dermal filler in the U.S. composed of NASHA™
gel, Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid. Restylane has been proven to
give long-lasting correction of moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and
folds. Results from restylane are immediate!
- Documented results that last six months, or even longer
- Excellent safety profile
- Over one million treatments worldwide
- No allergy testing required
- A simple, convenient procedure
- Restylane maintains its shape using the body's own moisture. So perhaps
it's not surprising that the the most basic element of natural beauty,
water, holds the key to the long-lasting benefits you can expect.
Scar Revision
Scars-whether they're caused by accidents or by surgery - are unpredictable.
The way a scar develops depends as much on how your body heals as it does on
the original injury or on the surgeon's skills. Many variables can affect
the severity of scarring, including the size and depth of the wound, the
blood supply to the area, the thickness and color of your skin, and the
direction of the scar. How much the appearance of a scar bothers you is, of
course, a personal matter.
While no scar can be removed completely, doctors can often improve the
appearance of a scar, making it less obvious through the injection or
application of certain steroid medications or through surgical procedures
known as scar revisions.
Sclerotherapy
Scleotherapy can easily and painlessly remove your unwanted spider veints.
What Is Sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy is a popular method of eliminating varicose veins and
superficial telangiectasias (“spider veins”) in which a solution, called a
“sclerosing agent,” is injected into the veins.
What Are Spider Veins?
These are the small, dilated veins seen frequently on the thighs, around the
knees, on the calves, and around the ankles.
Tattoo
Removal There
are several methods of tattoo removal which have proven effective. The
degree of remaining color variations or blemishes depends upon several
factors, including size, location, the individual's ability to heal, how the
tattoo was applied and how long it has been in place. For example, a tattoo
applied by a more experienced artist may be easier to remove since the
pigment was evenly injected in the same level of the skin. New tattoos may
also be more difficult to remove than old ones.
Today, lasers (Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation)
have become the standard treatment for tattoo removal because they offer a
bloodless, low risk, effective alternative with minimal side effects. Each
procedure is done on an outpatient basis in a single or series of visits.
Patients may or may not require topical or local anesthesia.
V-Beam Laser
The V-Beam Laser is used to treat the
following conditions:
- Rosacea
- Hemangiomas
- Spider Angiomas
- Port Wine Stains
- Scars
- Keloids
- Striae
- Warts
The V-Beam Laser is also a non-ablative procedure used for photo
rejuvenation and wrinkles.
How does the V-Beam Laser work?
The V-Beamlaser delivers an intense but gentle burst of light in long pulses
to your skin. This unique, longer pulse delivers laser energy to targeted
blood vessels over longer periods of time, resulting in a gentle heating
effect and uniform coagulation.
